The following page on the FSA website provides some additional information (i.e. if the whistleblower would prefer to leave an anonymous message via the Food Fraud Hotline (020 7276 8527) or if they would prefer to speak directly to a member of the Food Fraud Team regarding the area of concern).

The page also provides a link to the Agency’s Policy on Whistleblowing

The FSA has confirmed that all intelligence received is logged on the secure food fraud database (FFDB) and the identity of the whistleblower is protected at all times. The FSA then contact the relevant local authority to ask them to investigate the issue raised at a local level and report back the outcome of their investigation to the FSA. Outcomes are logged on the FFDB and reported back to the whistleblower (if requested).

Fraud should also be reported to Action Fraud
